Having temporary caregiver(s) maintain your child’s routine as closely as possible.

It is important that while you are gone that your child(ren)’s daily routine does not drastically change.  This provides stability and balance in your child(ren)’s life, allowing them to ease into your adoption travels.  To help your children adjust, less drastic changes are the best.  Thus, if you have read Help Your Children Adjust to Your Adoption Travel Tip #1, we recommend that you have a familiar caregiver(s) that can stay in your home.  By doing so, the caregiver can easily maintain your child(ren)’s routine.
